I finally got to join a journaling session. This one is hosted by Rae (@raelaciousness) !
Fun fact: Before my IG account became all about books and e-readers, it used to be plannercraftertales — a little corner of the internet where I documented my creative journaling journey... So what happened?
Life happened! Work got busy, and eventually, I landed a job where I couldn’t bring papers or journals inside the workplace. Slowly, journaling took a backseat as I focused on other things. What used to be one of my favorite creative outlets became something I rarely had time for.
But this year, life somehow brought me back to my old hobbies, and I found myself picking up my journals again and becoming more consistent with journaling. It feels so nice to reconnect with a part of myself that I had set aside for so long.
When I saw Rae’s post on Threads about her journaling session, I immediately got interested! I signed up, secured a slot, and was so happy that I finally got to join. It was such a lovely experience to spend time with fellow journal lovers, work on our journals, exchange ideas, and simply enjoy the hobby together.
I thank Rae for creating such a wonderful space for journal lovers to connect, share, and enjoy the hobby together! I really appreciate how you keep your sessions small and intimate, making it easier for everyone to interact and get to know one another. It’s more than just sitting together and journaling, it’s also about building connections with people who share the same interests.
I’m looking forward to more journaling sessions and meetups! If you’ve been wanting to get back into journaling or are simply looking for a community to share your hobby with, I highly recommend checking out Rae’s account for her upcoming sessions. You might just find yourself signing up for one, too!
Here’s to making more time for the little things that make us happy. Sometimes, all it takes is one invitation to rediscover an old passion.
